Description
This is Mayon Volcano, Bicol, Philippines. Last eruption was in 2001. The most destructive was in 1814. The whole town of Cagsaua was buried by rocks and lava. This is where this shot was taken. Its lava silently flowing again. A sign of another imminent eruption.

I took several timed exposures. I must find the balance so I can capture enough light and movement of the lava and at the same time avoiding much noise. Taken at dusk just before the sky turned really black, 20 seconds.
