Description So, at work last night, I found this baby bat in front of one of the buildings. He was a high traffic area and I did not want him (yes, a he. He peed on me) to get stepped on, so I picked him up and moved him. There are several bat colonies on the campus that I work at, and this is the second time I've done this. This time I decided to get pictures. He is most likely a Mexican Free-tailed Bat.

Same thing happened to me!!
I saw a baby bat on a side walk near a very busy road in front a hotel near my college,
I put in a box and put in a bushy area, and as i did that he finally flew off. I was so happy.

That's a great ending to your story! Sometimes, if you find a grounded bat, they're sick, and they never fly off. But! I like that yours was alright and flew away!
