Three sizes of eeveelution sprites (including more up to date versions of the ones depicted in my last post, (www.deviantart.com/sunhatleafe… )
Still trying to feel out how I want to actually set up the comic. Experimenting, and all that. I'm considering a few different possibilities here.
1: Use the medium size as the default, use small size to portray distance, and large size in closeup shots.
2: Same idea, except large size as default
3: Just mini size, with larger ones being used for special situations or not at all
4: Original art for every panel, likely using some models I made as reference (I despise making 3D scenery, so probably not)
I also might go for something else entirely, maybe not even pixel art. Here's some ideas I had in that regard.
1: Cardboard characters and sets
2: LEGO (An Mega Construx) characters and sets
3: Puppets (Maybe sock puppets?)
4: All 3D models
Really, I'm looking for a balance between a couple factors here when choosing I style. I need something that's A: Quick and easy for me to do, while B: It still looks good, and I'm at high enough skill level to keep it looking consistently good. We'll have to see, I guess.
If you care enough, give me some opinions in the comments. Do any of these ideas sound appealing to you? Do you have a better idea?
I wanna try serious story-telling in a more visual medium, and I don't exactly have the resources to do a live action sort of thing on YouTube, nor do I have the patience to fully animate something (super bad ADHD and all that). I felt a web-comic would be the best way to do that right now. I also intend to do a bit of animation in some of the panels, just nothing crazy.
I'm also not entirely sure if I wanna jump straight into a new story, as well. I might test the waters a bit by adapting some of my old garbage fan-fiction.
