I told you guys Clement's plan was simple but effective!
And can somebody get Charlotte a shot of something? She just can't seem to catch a break today.
And try not to look so happy Charline...Geez. XDD
And Clement is being a little scary again...Just a little though. He's very serious about making sure Nicolette will be taken care of and what better people to take care of her than her two best friends?
Now start looking forward to the next few pages cause it's gonna get dark again. >: )

Such great work on Clement on this page. The eye in the first panel looks so amazing and truly shows that he is serious. But I also really like the pose in the last panel, because it looks so elegant.^-^
That plan sounds pretty simple, but I think Clement wants to play safe first. You know, instead of confronting Nic too fast. He also probably wants to observe for now to assess how bad the situation actually is.

Well, it may not prevent it, but if something bad were to happen, then at least two very trusted people would be there to help.
That was the basic idea.
They could but if they weren't attending as guests, then they would have other tasks to attend to and their attention would be divided which Clement does not want.
I hope that makes sense and doesn't sound stupid at all...o_o

I'm pretty sure one of the maids (presumably Charlotte) is going to fall in love with a rich boy who believes she is rich just like him. I swear I'm very sure actually
