If I could find a stronger word than "Blunt" to describe Adelais, I would...Cause goodness she just doesn't give a damn about what she says or how she says it. But I would say Nicolette's response to her mom's..."advice" is kinda accurate. Like seriously? That's obvious, right?
But just please wait till the next page because she goes into a lot more detail about what she means by that and I'm actually really proud of what I came up with~
So I hope you guys are liking this cause I know I am~ I was really excited to do an actual nice interaction between Nicolette and Adelais~

Wow, your dialogue REALLY shines here! I love how we see more and more into Adelais' relationship with NIcky. Their mom is strict, but even THAT has its advantages. Her advice IS TRUE: sometimes, you just have to use your instincts and trust for yourself. Its interesting that as controlling as Adelais can be, her ultimate advice is for Nicky to trust herself. The arc comes full-circle. This REALLY is the perfect flashback: it isn't just plot filler, but actually closes the loop and brings the current circumstances into the alignment with the past and what we, the reader, already suspect. It actually heralds the conclusion to TWO conflicts: Nicky and her mother and NIcky and Dark Nicky. Man, I LOVE this comic so much, but I'm SOOOOO looking forward to how this conflict ends!

Exactly! She's not one to coddle or sugarcoat things. That's not even her trying to be a "mom" That's just how she. And that's true too. It can be so hard to trust yourself. Like, you THINK you'll know what to do when a situation arises but your instincts will say otherwise. And that also folds into what Nicolette is going through with Dark Nic.
And that's what she's trying to instill too. It might be a tad cliche but it does boil down to just believing and trusting yourself.
I hate plot filler as do many people so I do my best to avoid that
It's funny because Nicolette WAS supposed to have a very tumultuous with Adelais but even thought that's not the case anymore...It still makes sense oddly enough. Lol
I really can't tell you how much that means to me, thank you! And don't worry, there's still plenty left! And we'll still be seeing some familiar faces in Inheritance

I like the shojo style of Black Rose, but there's no Day at the Beach episodes, or "Lets stop the tournament so we can go into a virtual reality world" arcs or anything: the plot knocks along, and EVERYTHING is relevant. You have a lot of maturity as a writer to juggle SO MANY characters and keep everything organized and moving so fast!

The dialogue is great! And the final panel made me smile : - )) Nicky's reaction is priceless here : - ) I guess we are going to see her survival instincts in use soon enough : - ) But I like this flashback very much! And the close-up of her mother's eyes look impressive!

Adelais is so beautiful. Lillianna may have stolen her title, but Adelais has this bold elegance that I rarely see in a character.

LOL I love the vast amount of dialogue here between these two characters, it all seems so realistic! Also, I love how you incorporated Adelies wedding ring in this! Most artiest would forget that detail on their own ocs that their married and I love how its here and its wonderful~! Also, second panel and last panel are my favorites sides of seeing mama Adelies~ She looks so gorgeous~! LOL that panel where she looks all dark and serious but, gives the most basic answer lolXD Perfection~!

It's on the wrong hand for it to be her wedding ring but my intentions were there, I swear! Lol but yeah, I love adding little details like that because they are so easy to forget. >.< And it's always nice to see other artists doing the same ^^

Hey sometimes you need alot of dialogue in order to convey the message~! And the message is very clear right here and I love it~
LOL is it the wrong hand?XD I always get confused when it comes to hand gestures but, I get that you fully intended to show the ring and I love it~ Yeah they really are but, you gotta try and remember that they are thier on the character and its little details like that are amazing~ Right? Love the artwork as always and the attention to detail~
