September G1 Feature - Beautiful Beginnings
Happy Hooves! It's September.
This month we are going back in time to 1982, where it all began.
The first My Little Pony toys were a set of six Earth Ponies, in what is commonly called the "collectors pose" mold.
The My Little Pony theme was first heard in a TV commercial advertising the original six. Animation cels from the beginning of this commercial have come up at auction.
"My Little Pony, My Little Pony,
I comb and brush her hair.
My Little Pony, My Little Pony,
Tie a ribbon to show how much I care.
My Little Pony, My Little Pony,

The original six from the 1982-1983 season can be distinguished from their later releases by their feet. Year 1 ponies' feet are flat-bottomed, and later editions feet have concave impressions on them. For this reason, shorthand amongst collectors is (FF) for "Flat Foot" and (CF) for

This is great, but I always pictured Bluebelle to be a sweet and sensitive pony, not with that kind of face and hair. Also, her coat should be a lighter tint and the stars should be darker. Other than that, great job!
