Description **7's POV**

Most drafty days held a certain bittersweet feeling to them. The raindrops brought back old memories, some good, some bad. But the rain brought life. Life to the ground, life to the newly growing trees, and life to my soul. At the same time, the ground was wet and soggy, leaving it impossible the train on. The pros and the cons seemed to even out, so drafty days are just another day.

It was boring, sitting there, nothing to do but sharpen the blade of my spear and listen to the constant pitter patter of the raindrops hitting the top of the library. After the war, the remaining four of us found shelter in the library which was a seemingly endless hall of knowledge. 3 and 4 busied themselves in finding even more learning material and 9 made plans for heading out and exploring what our new world had to offer. I trained my fighting skills, often putting what I knew already to the ultimate test. 9 said sometimes that he didn't understand why I did what I did; the threat to us gone and we were happy. I loved him, but I refused to listen to what he said about my training. I wanted to be prepared in case of the worst. I wanted to protect my family.

The drafty day passed slowly, but soon the sky began to darken even more. I looked up at the dark gray sky and smiled. "I hope you're watching us, 5." I whispered. Knowing that he was free of his burdens, I picked up my spear and headed down the hallway to the place where we slept. As I was walking I bumped into 9. He smiled at me and I smiled back. "I... um... was looking for you." He began "I want to show you something." I couldn't help but laugh at his stuttering. Not alot changed about him since we first met.

I followed him down a couple of halls that I had never seen before. As we proceeded, I heard an unfamiliar sound. "What is that?" I asked, hoping to get a solid answer. 9 laughed, "You'll have to wait to find out." His answer didn't satisfy me, so I picked up my pace and stood in front of him, refusing to move. "No," I said defiantly "Tell me." 9's laugh grew louder. "C'mon, just wait! We're almost there." I sighed and rolled my eyes and reluctantly resumed walking next to 9. About two minutes later, we reached a red curtain. 9 walked behind me and put his hands over my eyes. The sound was louder now. I tried to think, where had I heard that sound before? My thought was interrupted when 9 spoke, "Alright." he said, lifting his mechanical hands from my eyes. My mouth immediately fell open at the sight. It was beautiful. It was a stream of clear water which was fogging slightly at the top. A statue of what 3 and 4 called an "angel" stood on a block in the middle of the rushing stream. The best part was dozens of tiny insects hovered near the top of the water. Unable to speak, I walked a few steps and sat on a rock near the edge of the water and stared at the marvelous sight. 9 took a seat next to me and instinctively I snuggled up next to him. "You like it?" he asked softly. Closing my eyes, I whispered "Yes."

9 wrapped his arm around my shoulder. "Well no matter the distance we travel, you'll always have this to bring you back home." he smiled.
