the silent
sentinel watched the
darkened street corner
unguarded (like a small
cool-green
reptile)
the confusing mix
of the sinews
of flesh from him
fell (dejected)
in a borrowed over-
coat, time-stamp
crashing,
i lay waiting
between the loins of
his deadly rain
of lead he comes,
falling,
in slow motion
