Round Thirteen: Ren
Task 5: Private Life

All My OC-Training Works

My initial idea for this task was totally different, the only similarity being that he never leaves the couch. But, because of where I left off in the wardrobe task, I decided to continue forward with his story, rather than regressing into Ren's miserable past. He was a wretched junkie living in the slums, but when he's shot and taken hostage by an officer, he falls under the protection and care of some genuinely good people... During this time he goes through withdrawals and suffers a lot of mental disparities, but he's treated better than he ever was living with the rebels. His loyalties begin to sway in their favor, and he becomes a double agent once he's recovered.

"Scar Face" (Letta), "Legs"(Army), and "Clipper"(Ela) all appeared in the wardrobe task. The other person, "Chatty"(Javi) is a rather talkative medic who was recruited to treat Ren.

Mature Content

I tried to incorporate all of the task prompts into this comic:
Sleeping habits: With the help of his drugs, he slept like the dead... without them, he's very restless and suffers from terrible nightmares.
Quirk: He has a lot of these. The two I highlighted here are (1) He gives nicknames to everyone - usually having to do with their appearance or something significant that he'll remember them by. They can be offensive at times. (2) Ren is very uncomfortable with being touched.
Subject of study: Existence. He's our nutty, cynical philosopher who frequently questions or denies the meaning of life.
Sense of humor: He laughs at everything...... whether he finds things genuinely funny or if it's just an awkward reaction, is unclear.
Eating habits: Ren did not eat much of anything before, as his drug habit suppressed his appetite. He has very few preferences, even now.
Team role: Ren is an informant. He spies on people, collects & shares information, and runs messages. (When he can run. :'))
