This was going to be a species (originally on pony town)of a redesign of a wolf I saw in my dream

What makes them different from any other wolf?
Well physically they can
come in any kind of color
their tails are made out of complete flesh except for the tip (its fur)
They don't have dog noses. but a lot of them have a darker color on their nose only to mimic a dog nose
they have a crystal stuck on their head that gets put on after graduating wolf school
That checkered pattern is only found on Alter wolves

They can use their crystal horms to Alter objects, turning them into something more valuable or useful.
Example is they could turn an apple into an apple pie
