People say the moment the hero dissapears is the saddest moment, i disagree. While it was sad, and it did get me misty eyed, THIS.
THIS right here was the moment that gets me crying. This is the moment that hits me in the feels everytime.
Explorers of sky will always be one of my favorite games, and the story it told will always be close to my heart.

Wow this looks so good!!!! Okay, the shading is amazing! It fits the scenes really well And it is so pretty! The background are really good too, they're detailed and look great and transition really well, they must have taken forever!
The characters themselves are amazing! I love the style of Their faces, especially Phoebe's! The expressions are all spot on( I especially love the ones in the temporal tower picture). They convey emotion so well, and everything reAlly works! I could go on and on : everything is so perfect!!

No problem! The background look really great, and look close to the game! I almost never eydrop though XD it annoys me a lot
Ah. It still looks really good, but it sounds frustrating that you had to re do some things. I usually don't mind my Pokemon looking cat-like, but I can see how it'd bother some people XD
Ugh, time gears are just so hard to draw. I always hated drawing them XD It looks really good in the end!
No problem!

I'm really terrible with color schemes so I tend to use actual pictures so I can make them look better.
Yeah, I prefer them to have a mix of my style and what the actual Pokemon is supposed to look like. It just looks better to me that way.
The gears themselves actually aren't too difficult if you use the line tool. It's the pattern around them that I found pretty frustrating XD

I'm not very good with colours either, since I sort of just wing it and hope it looks good XD
Yeah, that makes sense. I do a bit of that with some characters, but it usually stops when I get to the muzzles, since I usually just end up drawing normal cat and dog muzzles on them.
That makes sense XD

That's basically what I do every time I design a character lol
Yeah, and it's a little more difficult now, too, since I'm still messing with a newer style and so I'm getting used to stylizing Pokemon with it

thanks!!
you do a thing and another thing yep
lol if you want actual tips i guess just use layers a lot and also mess around with the textures on the crayon brush because that thing is fantastic for texturing dirt and snow (looks like the ground in the 3rd picture)
i'm usually not too good with them actually. since all of these are from a game i just googled images of each scene and referenced them
usually doing that can be pretty helpful.

I'm a noob at Sai so idk how any brushes work except the pen but I'll def try the crayon next time!

backgrounds and shading are the bane of my existence
no problem! it's always good to draw a little lineart and then start coloring it in with different methods and using other brushes to shade and whatnot
there's little dropdown menus under the brush settings for crayon (and for other brushes, too) and i have mine set to "Spread" and "(paper textures)". on a low density it pretty much can texture any ground haha
