Description
After a long battle with the one and only, Dr Eggman. Sonic thought he would walk to Tails' workshop. The moon lit the way for him and the trees seemed to sway the opposite way so Sonic could see exactly which was to go.

Sonic grinned as he continued to walk down the calm, lightened path. The sound of the wind travelled through his ears and gently brushed his quills. Of course it wasn't the same as it would be if he was running.

The wind suddenly stopped as Sonic came to a halt. What was that he could hear? It was as if someone was humming. Who would be out this late, in the middle of no where, humming?

His insticts told him to follow the humming sound. It sounded sweet and calm. This person obviously meant no harm.

"Hello?" Sonic called out to the forest. The humming stopped. Sonic continued to walk through the trees until he ended up by an edge of a cliff along with a 13 year old pink hedgehog staring at him. "Hey Sonic"

Sonic stared at the pink hedgehog with alittle shock. Normally, Amy would be in bed, wrapped up in her pink covers and holding onto her Sonic doll. Why was she here? "Hey" Sonic replied, lost for words.

"I guess you wandering why I'm up here, right?" Amy giggled as she looked back at the view. "Actually, I was"

Amy giggled again and stood up. "I wasn't tired, that's all" She answered. Sonic raised his right eyebrow and grinned. "You sure know how to surprise people, Amy"

The pink hedgehog giggled once again and walked passed Sonic. Sonic watched her and soon followed. "Hey, wait up!" Sonic shouted towards Amy. Amy continued to walk. Now the blue hedgehog was walking next to her with a little blush on his face.

"I better be going...Even though I can't sleep" Amy mumbled, looking down at the floor. She turned to Sonic and smiled. "So, how was your battle with Eggman?"

"Oh you know, the usual. He brings out rubbish and I destroy them" Sonic chuckled as he placed both hands behind his head. "Your shouldn't brake all of Eggman's toys, Sonic. You know how upset he can get"

Sonic laughed and slightly looked at Amy from the corner of his eye. "You heard about the attack on Eggman tomorrow, right?"

Amy nodded and stopped. "Everyone is going, aren't they?" Sonic nodded and stopped infront of Amy. "That's why I told everyone to go to your house in the morning"

"What?" Amy blurted out. "Why my house?!" Sonic scratched the back of his head. Wishing he told Amy before agreeing with it. "Hehe. Thanks for understanding Amy" He grabbed her hand and ran faster then Amy could react.

Now outside Amy's house. Sonic placed Amy down and winked at her. "Here's your spot. Catch ya later"

Sonic was about to leave when Amy grabbed his arm. He turned around and blushed. "What is it, Amy?"

Amy opened her door and pulled Sonic inside. She pushed him on the sofa and walked into the kitchen. She made tea and gave a cup to Sonic. "Here"

The blue hedgehog stared at the pinkette who was holding a cup of tea for Sonic. He grabbed it and slowly took a sip. "Thanks Amy"

"You felt alittle chilly when I grabbed your hand" Amy told him. She took a sip of her tea and smiled. "I can't wait til tomorrow!" She cheered.

Sonic took another sip of his tea. "It's a fight, Amy. Not a game" Amy set her empty cup on the table. "I know. I just love fights especually when your there but, I don't like to see you get hurt"

"Aww Ames, you shouldn't worry about me-" Sonic said softly but was interupted by a certain pink hedgehog. "But I do! What if something happens you, Sonic?" Amy cried. "I'd die without you"

"Don't say that, Amy. Your strong. You'd make it through anything" Sonic said. Amy started crying.

"I'm not the strongest, Sonic. I'm probably the weakest out of everyone!" Amy sobbed. Sonic patted her shoulder to comfort her. "No your not!"

Amy coughed back her sob and looked at Sonic. "Thank you" Sonic smiled and patted her shoulder again. "That's okay. Now, it's about time you got some sleep"

Sonic lead Amy to her bedroom. Amy picked out a dark blue nightgown. Sonic turned away whilst she got dressed. Once Amy was dressed, she jumped into bed and sighed. Sonic tucked her in and sat on a chair.

"Go to sleep, Amy" Sonic told his self-proclaimed girlfriend. Amy frowned and groaned. "But I can't sleep if I'm not tired" She folded her arms and pouted.

Sonic sighed and stood up. He looked around the different pictures of him. "You need your rest for tomorrow. Please Amy. For me"

Amy giggled and fell back on her pillow. Sonic chuckled and walked over to Amy's side. "If anything happens to you...I have no reason to go on" He whispered.

"Sonic...I love you" Amy said quietly before falling into a deep sleep. Sonic smiled and walked out. Sonic ran towards the workshop but was stopped by a black and crimson hedgehog.

"Shadow?" Sonic asked. Shadow turned around and folded his arms. "Faker" Shadow replied. "What are you doing out here?"

"None of your buissness. Where were you coming from any way?"

Sonic huffed. "I was at Amy's if you want to know" This caused Shadow's eyes to widened. "You were with Amy?"

"It's not what it sounds like!" Sonic said, almost too quickly. "I was helping her get to sleep. I found her sitting by a cliff side"

Shadow looked at the floor and began to walk away. "Don't let her go, Sonic. Don't let her go" With that, Shadow fled.

What?...oh whatever, that guy is so weird.

The next morning had arrived. Sonic and the others were sat in Amy's house. Everyone was ready to go apart from Amy.

"What's taking her so long?" Knuckles asked, frustrated.

Sonic tapped his foot on the floor and looked at the clock on the wall. "I guess she's still tired from yesterday"

"Go and see if she's okay" Blaze insisted. Sonic sighed and walked towards Amy's room. He found her still in bed with the covers over her head.

Sonic shook his head and walked over to Amy. "Hey sleepy head. Everyone's waiting for you" He said softly as he shook her.

Amy didn't react. Sonic got alittle annoyed and removed the covers. Amy was fast asleep and...blue?

"Amy? Are you cold?" Sonic asked, he felt her skin. She felt like ice. He jumped back. "Amy?" He asked again. This time, more concerned. "Hey Amy. This isn't funny. Get up already"

Still no reply. Sonic tried shaking her again but she still didn't react to it. Sonic started to breath heavily. Why wasn't she waking up? Sonic went to get help.

Sonic trailed out of Amy's room and slowly walked back to where the others were. He stared at the floor without blinking.

"Is she coming yet?" Rouge asked. Sonic ignored her and looked at Shadow who was leaning again the wall. "Shadow, could you come with me please?" Sonic asked, still looking at the floor.

Shadow bounced off the wall and on his feet. He followed Sonic into Amy's room. He saw Amy lying on the bed and looked back at Sonic. "Please. Check if she's okay" Sonic begged.

Shadow nodded and walked over to Amy. He checked her pulse...

"What's wrong with her Shadow?" Sonic asked.

Shadow turned back to Sonic and lowered his head. He had never seen Sonic so worried in his life. "I'm sorry"

Sonic looked back at Amy and fell to him knees. "No. She can't be. Check again!"

"There's no point. Amy's dead"

NO!

"She can't be. She was fine yesterday. She's just sleeping!" Sonic said as he walked over to Amy and held her close.

"I'm sorry" Shadow said. Walking back out to see everyone else and tell them what happend.

Sonic cradled Amy in his arms and started crying. "I know your not dead, Amy. Please open your eyes and smile for me again"

The blue hedgehog continued to cry as he yet again, got no response. "It's all my fault. You shouldn't have gone to sleep. Why did I do that to you?"

"Sonic. Don't be upset. Neither of us knew that this would happen" A voice said from the other side of the room.

"A-amy?"

Amy giggled. "Sonic. You got a fight to win. Don't just sit there mourning over me"

"But Amy. How am I suppose to-" Sonic began but was stopped by a pink hedgehog putting her index finger on his lips.

"You can do it. For me"

Sonic smiled and got up from the bed. "I will. For you Amy. Thanks for everything"

"No, thank you for everything, Sonic. I love you" Amy was just about to leave but she turned around to look at Sonic again. "Oh by the way. I'll be waiting for you"

Amy laughed as she turned around and disappeared. "Thank you, Amy. And...I guess this is goodbye"
