Description Not looking too bad. I can't take all the credit here though. I happened across a Starscream quake pack that included Skywarp, Thundercracker, Starscream and a fan character, Crypticon (same name as my bike). So the "bot" frame is pre made. My Husband and I took Starscream and made a ghost version [link] by playing around with the shader?

This one I took Starscream and overwrote his colours to better match Sunstorm's I would like to try to get him a bit darker and more glowy but only time will tell whether or not I can do that. I am also hoping to make him more metalic looking... right now he seems a bit soft.

I think the original Author for the skins was named Bruticus.

He looks pretty darned cool if I have to say so myself. OH ya I did not do the head eh. Just coloured the eyes.

looks pretty good. Personally i'd like to see Starscream or Prime as a Q3A model though

It will be much better if I can get it detailed more. Photoshop is a big daunting to learn... it's so huge. I found a website that describes how to make rust and metals.. but I am not sure if I can make Sunstorm seem more metalic now or if I have to start from scratch. Right now he is fairly plain it will take me time to add details and such.

Yeah, I can imagine.

Though, in my 3D class last semester, our prof also showed us how to make dirty metal textures and stuff. He implied you use a series of layers, with different property settings (some being transparent, others at multiply, etc). He also used a lot of the aplha mask channels too, for things like holes, stained streaks, and stress marks. Wow.

When I'm just painting TF's in photoshop for the 3D art, I just brush on details, setting the tranparency at very opaque settings, and using different layers. But it's a different story when making textures for 3D objects.

I have a computer game called Quake 3. I simply put my sunstorm Skin on and walked into the introduction level and stood infront of the mirror.

Sso I did the Skin eh ) I have a whole Wing of Seekers to play with in quake now ) I have been working on Sunburst too and Sunstar is in my mind.
