I've been waiting in the water far too long

My tail is torn as I crawl on
...I cannot stay for much too long…
Water is my life
But you were my heart
Now the waters are dark
...And I cannot survive…
Let me become one with the core
Let me dissolve with the water once more
Make my body turn into foam

I had to work very hard for the right tail (I made five different ones, every time I wasn't happy with it..pfff) and have constructed one from various tails and brushes.

Ah... the story of a real life captain who fell for me, and I am depicted as a mermaid, because I have a strong connection with the sea and water in general. Feel more at home in the sea then on land. I also have had a disease on both legs, which makes it difficult for me to walk without pain.
Then something happened with his family what made him turn away from me and he left me without saying goodbye, he just vanished and never came back, leaving me with a broken trust and broken heart...
