Gargoyles is one my THE favorite cartoons of all time, and Greg Weisman one of my personal inspirations(which is why it PISSES ME OFF BEYOND boundaries that every series he worked on has been cut short!!)
Ahem... with Dynamite Entertainment reviving Gargoyles through recent sequel comics, I sincerely hope(yet highly doubt) that rest of the Greg Weisman's proposed expanded Gargoyles universe will one day get at least a chance to show their potential.

Gargoyles 2198 is proposed spin-off/sequel series taking in distant future and starring descendants of Manhattan Clan, as well likes likes of Maza and Xanatos families fighting against invasion of Space-Spawn, highly advanced alien race capable of conquering and potentially destroying entire planets, with their desperate rebellion eventually taking them across the galaxy.

As there is currently very little concrete information regarding Space-Spawn, I decided to make my own personal take on what these intergalactic enforcers would look like, and in doing so, I tried to make as much as antithesis of Three major races( Humans, Gargoyles and Oberon's Children) as possible- whereas humans walk, and gargoyles glide and Third Race can take different forms through magic, I imagined that Space-Spawn would like like evolved snakes or eels(since that what often term Spawn might reminds us), and that their front arms would have very evolved features, including extra digits, whereas their hind legs would be smaller and weaker, if not necessarily vestigial, and would rely on things like cloaking technology or visual impairment to fools their foes. I imagine that they wouldn't necessarily walk, but rather, slither and crawl. The two floating creatures are their servants which they control through box alike remote, similar to how canines are to humans( granted, there is no mention of anything lie that, it is juts my little extra hypothesis), with implication that they have tamed several other creatures across cosmos and plan to do same to Earth's flora and fauna. I imagine that their armor would be futuristic but simple in design, and would serve more as decoration of authority than actual protection(considering that according to Gargwiki, these guys can survive vacuum in space, naturally I might add), and strange collar represents symbol of status.
