Description
As the title already tells, this is my entry for the Mascot Contest of .
The task was to design a mascot for the group being palace themed, so let me introduce you to Saraix. ; )

General Information
Name: Saraix (Sarai arabic = princess, 'x' from pixel)
Gender: female
Species: Palace tortoise (Chelonoidis palatia)
Size: about 3,5 m // 11,5 feet
Age: 63 years, but for a palace tortoise that's close to nothing

About her: As a palace tortoise Saraix is wearing a palace instead of an ordinary shell. The palace itself is rather heavy but sturdy hindlegs allow her to keep standing on two legs for a limited period of time, however she walks on all four legs.
The ruby on her forehead allows her to capture sunlight and to use some of its energy for her metabolism, so it's rather obvious that Saraix prefers hot areas, especially deserts.
The palace on her back is inhabited by a small species of unknown creatures. They are small, measuring not more than 5cm/1,9inch and are suspected to be able to absorb sunlight.

Character: Saraix is a princess and she is very proud of it. She is usually good-humored and open-minded, yet she can be a true diva from time to time. In these periods she is highly touchy and complains a lot. Nevertheless she knows how to be charming and she enjoys the company of others, especially if she's the center of attention.

The 'PP' obviously is supposed to mean "Pixel Palace", but I guess I didn't have to mention this at all. :'D
