The above commenter clearly lied. The aliens go almost twice as fast every 1000 points. To get that high, he'd be shooting aliens that move across the screen too fast for the human eye to see.
On a related note, I got 2300. I probably would've got a little higher, but a pop-up got in my face, giving the aliens 5 whole seconds to off me while I closed it.

very cool...just a few suggestions/ideas:
-Put some randomness into the aliens' movement,
-Make the score you get from each ship relative to its speed?
-Some variation in the ships eg. different colours, whatever
Again, these are just suggestions and ideas, feel free to disregard them completely because this is a very good game as it is
