Inspired by a beautiful digital painting on my computer and the song Welcome to the Black Parade (Carry On) by My Chemical Romance.A personal art piece depicting an alternative storyline to the Wolf movie. The Wolf comes across Sam who is caught in the crossfire of a deadly war for his home. With no one left to protect him, the Wolf whisks Sam away at top speeds, narrowly avoiding being shot. It rains, it howls, the army chases, the dawn breaks ahead.
Sam clings to the Wolf's back, his only support, his only hope.
Spent a great deal of time on this one. Using the same technique for "Team Wolf", colouring in without line work. Quite proud how the background turned out. Tried my best to incorporate the different light sources, specially from the blast in the foreground, affecting the shadows and shading on each character.
Mechs in the background were combination of War of the Worlds meets.......some other things.
Made in Photoshop CS2.

It's really cute and powerful. I enjoy the whole idea of the little boy who the Wolf helps is really nice since it gives him a kinder side. As the Batman fan I have to say it makes him human.

When I listen to music in a car I always look out the window and just see my characters running a long side the car doing things that relate to the song. When I listen to Black Parade I have seen things very similar to this!
