Description I really wish that she had said that, before she . . . didn't exist anymore.

Or, at least, some words of comfort.

Ashi may no longer be Aku's daughter, but that doesn't mean she ceases to exist, this means her destiny and life has changed in the future,

Without Aku's Appearance, She Ceased To Exist.

Time Doesn't Always Work The Way You Wanted To Be. Once You Change The Past, So Will The Future. In Various Time Traveling Stories, The Past Isn't Like The Future. When The Past Is Changed By The Choices You Make, It Will Alter What Will Happen Next The Future.

There are multiple mediums that deal with the subject of time travel, and all of them theorize something different.

For example, there is the grandfather paradox. Say I went back in time to murder my grandfather before he met my grandfather, thus preventing my existence, yet I cannot have traveled back in time if I do not exist in the first place.

Then, there is the Hitler paradox; a woman goes back in time and kills Hitler when he is but an infant. The maid who was in charge of him freaks out, grabs an orphan baby boy off the street, and passes him off as Adolph. Thus, the future remains unchanged.

hm...
I believe in a hitler paradox.

That even if you change past, the future will rebuilt itself to follow the same key events.
Because fate is predetermined, and no change in the past or present can change it...

Nothing short of the Super Dragon Balls probably would have undone that paradox. And there weren't very many rocket ships around in the Tokugawa period.

Sadly if she did live, that would've created a time paradox, disrupting the order of time and space

Joshmoe93 In reply to Stitchpunk89 [2017-06-04 01:48:26 +0000 UTC]

They've already created a time paradox. That ending was the very definition of a grandfather's paradox (I went back in time and ended up killing my granddad, thereby preventing my existence. Yet if I did not exist, how could I have went back in time to kill my grandfather?)

There were MULTIPLE ways they could have handled Ashi's death/passing which were much better than what we got.

Ashi was a good person and deserved a much better fate than what happened to her in fact in my opinion the worst part of what happened to Ashi was that she and Jack didn't get to say goodbye or even share one last kiss they could of at least given us that.

She was as much the principle character this season as Jack was...and at times even more so. To throw her away like a one-episode bit part was just another crime, especially after everything Jack went through that episode for her. They might as well have had him kill her while she was still possessed.

Well deep down Jack knows what happened to Ashi was his fault but he deosn't blame himself for it because he knows he'll see her again someday.
