Self-timer is a pain in the ass. I had to set the camera on the slide and I was scared it would fall over.. aghh. And I felt really stupid too. Well I hope you like it.

The lighting on you is very pretty. Nice diffuse highlights moving to the shadows. Your eyes also help guide into the background of the photo. I would not say this was a waste of time. It kinda has a soft, surreal look to it as well.

This is definately not a scraps shot! This is a keeper! 
I love the hard contrast and the depth of field. The ONLY thing I don't like is the whiteout from your digicam. Film would have made the edges to the white come out much better, but artisticly, and technically on your part, this is a beautiful shot! Well done!

I like how there are so many dark tones in this piece because it really helps to convey the emotion of the piece and sets off the mood and atmosphere.
It's done very well and there must be an underlining meaning to have been able to convey so much emotion within the piece. Lovely, absolutely stunning

It's such a lonely setting, and yes, the title fits it perfectly, like a glove even. To be honest, i simply like the fact that it's a girl in a little rocking whale....it's so innocent, something i'm sure many of us have done before, it's fun. So yeh, a really nice piece

lol. thanks for the suggestion. i kinda like it. i was thinking about giving it a name that had to do more with the whale being separated from the water... than naming it after my expression/pose..
