Hahah aww, cute concept! I looked at your WIP file and I think the planet did turn out a bit oversaturated (the detail on the planet surface looked good! It's a shame it was lost). Maybe a little bit of purple on the surface wouldn't have hurt hahah. Might have worked if it was made of water or something I suppose, but all I can think of with her feet stuck in it like that is icing sugar...mmm, a whole planet made of icing sugar lol! Lucky thing hahah. But still, good job on it! I can't think of working at such a small canvas size hahah.

i did want the planet to appear that it was glowing from something on the inside, and i think i much prefer the strong glow because it was what i was trying for... i could have maybe toned it down, but i've already merged the layers because of a problem i had and i can't really adjust it :/ (i would, though!)
and i hadn't thought of icing sugar... mmm~ you're pretty right about what her feet are stuck in, i was thinking it was a sort of gooey stuff.
and about the canvas size, i really can't work on a large canvas, i can only draw small

No problem! And yeah, I can remember how difficult it is to work with limited layers in oekaki applets. I still don't know how to paint extreme light either, it is very hard! The drawing still looks great either way, maybe it is something to look up in photo references for next time.
Hahah oh dears, I'm the opposite - I take up too much space when I draw, so I have trouble working on canvases at such a tiny resolution lol!

9 layers total. usually i don't use a lot of layers, but for this one i had to break up some of the lineart and most of the color/shading for it to work. thank you!

oh no, 22 layers is a nightmare, and i've been there before XD i tend to do multiple things on one layer, if they're isolated from each other. i'm always trying to use the least amount of layers possible so i don't get confused.
