If it is just the pen tool then isn't it a vector? I prefer vexel because I don't have time to be precise, and just let the cheap bevel auto fill a lot of spaces, and maybe sometimes add my own shading if I have moments of time. Usually I complete and start my works in the middle of the night between school work, and to pass time. This is time consuming and amazing art you have though.

Vexel doesn't mean it's done with pen tool or lack of details, a vexel it's a pixelated vector with lesser DPI's, photoshop can´t do vectors.this one of the first or maybe the firts draw i made in photoshop. My work is also done between college , work etc...and it's time consuming allright, but (it's sound narcisist) i feel proud of myself lol.

oh ok, it was done in photoshop, and what I mean by lack of detail is instead of colors gently blending into each other , be only the colors you chose one at a time. But no need to feel narcissistic, as this is amazing work.

what's the difference between vector and vexel?

In a vexel the image is fixed and "pixelated" like u cant resize it made usually in photoshop.
A vector is a more dpi image u can resize it to a certain dpi level that never pixelate.
