Another hastily thrown together collage for you guys. This Toothless was actually completed and sent over a month ago. I just needed a break from all things plush for a while. Click on the picture twice to see everything super zoomed in for all the small details.This one is probably my best one yet. His wings came out so flat and nice, his back spikes are basically perfect, and his eyes look so good. This one is basically the same everything as #6. This toothless is probably the fattest one I've made. I don't know what happened! He just has a big belly.
It was sent to a couple I met at Otakon, and the man was engaged and wanted to surprise his wife with this as a wedding gift. I rushed to get it done in time, and it all worked out. I was told she cried for 15 minutes when she saw it. It makes me so happy to be a part of something so special.

You may have answered this somewhere else, but what kind of fabric did you use for the spikes? Is it blizzard fleece? And did you sew each spike separately or all in one piece? I love how they look so thick, the fabric I'm using makes the spikes look pretty thin.

Yeah it was some kind of anti-pill fleece, that was not as thick as what I used for the body. The back spikes are all connected underneath. It helps with keeping them spaced properly. My paper pattern is a long piece of all the spikes. The spikes aren't just 1 layer thin either, they are 2 sewn together, which makes them thicker.

Mind if I ask how you made the tail and hip fins? Also, how do you get the fingers on them and the wings to really stick out? (Not the veins, the fingers)

These eyes, are they clay sculpted or acrylic? Β How do you attach them to the plush? Β If their acrylic, what did you use to make a mold for the eyes?

why you dont post your pattern on devianart or trade your plush for other cool stuff

can you ask dreamworks that they can use your patterns and they sell the toothless plush than because everyone who toothless love much rather buy yours than in the shops right now and dreamworks does then good things

Unfortunately they are not cheap. And also unfortunately I'm currently not making any more. At least for quite a while. I really do hate to say that, because I'm a fan just like everyone else, and I wish everyone could have a plush like this.
