One day, Valery Connors accompanied her friend Donna to the Orbots' research station.
While Donna was busy with her training, Val took a look around the labs on the various R&D projects. She was so focused on the various devices that she tripped and fell into a particle accelerator, which unfortunately just started up. As Valery was trapped in the machine, her entire body started to become affected by the machine's power.
After the machine stopped, Val emerged from the machine all shaky. As she started to walk, she began to at an extremely high speed, when she stopped, she found herself right back where she came in...in only 5 seconds.
Val realized that the machine she fell in accelerated her entire body, making her super fast.
Val then decided to fight crime as a speedy super heroine, with a custom outfit, roller blades, and the name of "Val-Ocity", she speeds into action.
