Description The next morning Sickness insists the group joins him for breakfast before leaving. For a journey the best choice is to travel as soon as possible. For a battle the best choice is going as strong as possible. The group joins Sickness for breakfast with a smile on their faces because heading into war hungry increases the chances of getting killed.

During breakfast Jack tells the group about his dream and his story leads to good news and bad news. Good news is Jack can fight and defeat Dark. Bad news is Dark and Sins knows their movements and might have a plan to stop them. As news is shared the group eats their meal and discuss further actions. However even with Jack’s new information the plan doesn’t change. Sins is a powerful dream hunter and can see them coming no matter what the plan. Their only choice is still to charge forward with great force and overpower Sins at his castle walls.

Sins palace waits a few hours away by foot. Knot tells the group he is done leading them through this world. However his help is no longer needed since a path from Sickness to Sins is visible. Normally the shadows near castles are the most harmless because they are being controlled and the dream hunters controlling them have no reason to be aggressive. However with Sins controlling the shadows they become aggressive.

The only trouble Knot mentions during their journey is an oil river. This easy journey disappears minutes before reaching the river when they find a forest standing in front of them. As the group approaches the forest with caution Rose takes the lead. She notices the trees are not metal like the rest of the trees they are formed of flesh and stone. Rose turns to the group with a flabbergast look saying “they're shadows. I've never seen anything like this. Every tree here is a shadow, and they are covered in spider webs.” Dream hunters create creatures and there has been tree like creatures, but never actual trees. This forest causes butterflies the sore through their stomachs, but they have no time to show fear. With weapons drawn the group silences their butterflies and head for the woods.

As the group walks through the woods nothing but the sounds of insects and the lack of light join the group on their journey. Wind blows through Jack’s hair and spider webs cover his body. Jack flails his arms throwing webs off his body and by the time the webs are off he is shocked to see spider webs everywhere. The webs begin at normal sizes, but normal transforms into giant and giant leads to every corner of the woods being covered in a thick and sticky spider web. The group does their best to push forward cutting and ripping layer after layer of spider webs. Jack avoids as much as possible while the Blaze Runners cut through the rest.

As the group moves forward and through another layer of web Jack sees a shadow moving in the distance. From indistinguishable shadows moving in the distance they transform into eight-legged monsters. Jack panics and cries “I know I saw a few of those shadows with eight legs.”

Jack might complain, but the rest of the group show no fear. Even when the group is seeing spiders one to three feet in diameter they show no fear. Jack is a different story, he never considered himself to have arachnophobia, but a few spiders more, and suddenly arachnophobia is killing him. The Blaze Runners push the spiders aside like they do not differ from regular spiders. They do this even when most of the spiders are bigger than them. Not bigger than Doug, it takes longer before those spiders arrive.

“Okay I am freaking out, can someone please kill the spiders,” cries Jack. Gev laughs as he says “you're already freaking out and you haven't even seen the big ones. The plan is to make it as far as possible through the woods before fighting. The moment you smash something is the moment an army of spiders are attacking you.” Gev pushes Jack around before turning to Theo and asks “Theo do you think it’s about time we fight.” Theo shoots down a five foot spider after before saying “let’s set this forest on fire.”

In a moment the group, without counting Jack is in battle formation. Gev is shooting a hurricane of bullets towards the left as Rose fires a tsunami of arrows towards the right. One by one spiders fall to the floor. Theo leads the charge cutting apart layer upon layer of spider webs. Most of the spiders still come straight for the group. As the close range fighter Doug attacks and blocks every spider heading for Theo. Like a professional boxer Doug throws punches at lightning speed knocking out at least two spiders with every punch he throws.

As the group advances through the woods like a US special ops unite they realize no one taught Jack about their battle formations. The Blaze Runners have been fighting together for so long they always know what battle formation the rest of the group is thinking. However they forgot not just to say what battle formation to use. They forgot no one taught Jack what a battle formation is. With a look of bewilderment Jack howls “what the hell is going on and can anybody tell me what the plan is?” The entire group freezes as they try to think of a new plan. Doug response first saying “Theo and I will charge forward. Rose and Gev will protect the sides so how about you protect our rear. They're spiders so how about you try making fire with your magic.”

As the group heads further into the woods the spiders get larger and larger. The formation holds with Doug taking care of the largest spiders and Jack dealing with the smaller ones. Jack leads his attack with an obvious weapon, a gun. Jack tries shooting as many spiders as possible, but his aim is retched. His terrible aim allows the spiders to get closer to the group. Jack responds by transforming the gun into a gun-sword, shooting a few and cutting whatever gets close.

Throughout the firing and the cutting Jack constantly thinks “flamethrower. I got to make a flamethrower.” Jack is still learning how to use his power, he pictures his gun-sword turning into a flamethrower, but it remains a gun-sword. Plan B is fire grenades. Jack throws round balls and imagines them exploding. At first the balls explode in size instead of just exploding. The balls roll through the woods taking out dozens of spiders as the rest of the group laughs. Gev holding his stomach says “I guess he figured out how to not lose the game.”

Jack’s plan isn't near what he wants. Even if he is killing spiders his goal is still fire. Overtime the balls explode killing another few dozen spiders. Jack’s ability is not the only thing developing. As the group moves forward the spiders Gev, Rose, and Doug did not kill now come from the back. Hundreds of spiders bigger than the next chase the group from the rear. Jack calls for help when he sees nothing, but spiders. The trees they climb on and the ground they walk on disappears behind their eight legs and furry bodies. Every inch is covered in spiders.

With the front annihilated Theo switches his attention to the rear firing his rifle like a fully automatic machine gun. Gev keeps one gun on the side and another to the rear, Rose Follows Gev actions and matches him with her crossbows. The spiders’ numbers deplete, but Jack still panics.

At the top of his lungs Jack screams “you dame sword turn into a stupid flamethrower already. I said flamethrower!” As Jack screams a canister is on his back and fire explodes from his hands. Jack did it, he made a flamethrower. Jack stands there like a dragon burning everything in front of him. In seconds hundreds of spiders fall to the floor leaving nothing but ash. In minutes the woods Sins created is half gone. By the time Jack is finally done nothing remains, but a path revealing the exact spot the group entered the woods.

As the group pushes forward nearly every spider is gone, only the strongest spiders are still alive. However there cannot be more than a few dozen still alive. Jack lifting a flamethrower as big as him walks past the Blaze Runners. With a giant smile on his face Jack says “don’t worry guys, I got this,” and tries burning down the other half of the woods. The first time was amazing. However the second time the flamethrower fires off flames for two seconds, reaching five feet and burning down three trees. Gev falls to the floor holding his gut saying “it’s empty. His magic flamethrowers empty. Does that mean he lost the game?”

Theo hits Gev in the back of the head as he regroups the team. He explains to Jack the new plan is to charge forward in a V shaped formation. Together they will push through whatever spiders still block their path. Doug leads the charge smashing through anything standing in his way. This means trees and five foot wide spiders. To Doug’s left is Jack wielding a sword cutting down giant spiders and freeing Doug from the occasional spider web. On Doug’s right is Theo doing the same task. On the far left is Gev and far right is Rose. They fire down the line killing off as many spiders before they reach the group. After dozens of spiders including a few hard to kill ten foot spiders the group arrives at the edge of the woods.

There waits one last spider triple the size of even the biggest of spiders. Looking at this spider Theo tells the rest of the group “This must be the queen and I already have a plan. Gev just fire at it like you normally do, Rose you use your speed to keep it distracted and Doug protect Jack.”

The spider tries rushing the group, but Gev is ready. Like a madman he fires round after round screaming “bang, bang, bang bang bang.” Rose runs to the left confusing the spider and covering his body in arrows. Theo moves underneath the spider. With the surrounding cause the spider cannot see and Theo takes advantage of the spider’s disability. Leg after leg is sliced in pieces. Once the legs fall Theo blows a hole through the spider’s chest. With no legs the spider falls to the floor with Theo still beneath it.

Theo climbs through the hole in the spider’s chest revealing he is unharmed. The spider is immobilized by the removal of its legs and the hole in his chest forces him to the edge of his life. The spider still breading is a miracle after the assault Gev and Rose provided. Theo climbs over the spider’s body and as he stands above its head he finishes it with one last shot to the head.
