AMAZING. I truley love traditional art like this. It takes so much patience time and skill. You have mastered those areas and have brought them all together into this peice. Geat detail....amazing job all around. I really see no need for improvement on this one!

Its amazing that when we draw for fun they turn out better than if we'd tried really hard. This is fantastic and I like the texture the newsprint gives it.

Isn't it? I hate the way i usually start out wanting to create something just for the fun of it, but it quikly evolves into thinking i can wow people if i did this or if i did that, then the next thing i know, i lose motivation and momentum as the project gets harder and harder. *sigh* its amazing i get anything done at all. by the way, i love your avatar.

I'm not very flexible in working with various mediums. I used to do some watercolour, but that was ages ago. Now it's mostly coloured pencil and graphite pencil. I don't really paint because of all the hassle and having to buy a bunch of stuff.

i know what you mean. I dropped a bunddle on all my airbrush equipment... still trying to turn a buck with it. That's another reason why charcoal is so great. with $100, i got an easel, drawing board, lots of newsprint, lots of charcoal, various erasers, paper towels and a chamise. Stir in some time and patience, and BAM!!!

I figured it was done by one of your kids. I like it. I checked out your gallery. (Not trying to be mean or put you down)With the exception of the belly dancer, i think your work could benifit from a little more time in the developement phase. Though your rendering skills are Phenomenal, some of your pieces are missproportioned. Sorry, i'm just a picky b@st@rd.

Pick away...I just started drawing again about 6 months ago and do things freehand. I'm starting to get the hang of things more and taking a figure drawing class right now to help. I see some of my earlier pieces and cringe a bit but they show me how I'm developing.
Anytime you see any niggly bits with something please point it out, I don't mine extra sets of eyes to look at things.

hey, ever try turning your work and the source pick on their sides or even upside down just to get a different perspective on them? I do that to help me line up what i think i see in the source image and what i think i'm doing in my work.

I've done that, and just did it on the one I've been working on today. His hair is all spiky and funky and it helped to flip it over to work on that part.
