I think that damon was really like a jerk with her and she was the "easy" type. But when she became a vampire things looked differently. She is my fave girl on Vampire Diaries. For me she is a really nice girl

In a way I think she's a waaaay better character now she's a vampire, she's stronger and more likeable... So I don't feel too sorry for her.

I have to agree with you on that one. She's definitely stronger and smarter now. However, I did initially feel a bit too sorry for her, partly because I had my doubts about her survival.
