ok, this is a VERY poor scan of another poster i did. BUT i have offically lost the original.
it was also scanned into 4 pieces and pasted back together. the drawing was a little mangled at the time of the scan, that's why there's so many wrinkles. it's a shame because i worked a looooooooooong time on this...like the colored one.this drawing is based on the characters from the nintendo power comic series. anyone remember that? i loved that comic.

I dont think I ever knew NP did a star fox comic until I got a mag on EBay. The old art style is actually kick ass! (Hm...theres a reptilian race in Space Empires 4..make a Andross/Venomese Empire)

My God, it's practically exact! How you drew the characters, I mean. I would say "back in the day" I was crazy obsessed about the comic, but the truth of it is that I still am, so meh.

I think the team as it was portrayed in that comic has always stuck with me. The feel of the entire story in general also was a favorite.

I remember when I saw this poster for the first time on sfx64.com, and I couldn't get over how well you drew all the characters. I am pleased that I finally have the chance to congratulate you on your wonderful job.

I don't think we ever had those comics in Australia.. so I havent read all the StarFox ones and none of the Lylat Wars one at all. I think I read the old comics on a website.. but eventually those were taken down I think.. Ohwell they were all pretty cool though ^_~

I know I said this for the colored SF64 poster, but this reminds me of the old posters for Disney movies, composition-wise.
The Nintendo Power comics were amazing⦠I was only five when they were originally published, but I read them for the first time on Puffy's Star Fox page when I was about thirteen. This probably makes me one of the youngest Fara fans on Deviant Art because so many of the Star Fox fans who are my age view Krystal as Fox's girlfriend.

Heh... Those were the good times of Star Fox. Have to admit though, that the dialogue in the manga was a little corny, maybe the translation was a little funny. ^.^;; Oh well... I grew up with the original SNES game, fell in love with Fara Phoenix right away, too. Star Fox Forever!

It was also amusing which words were put in boldface⦠Of course, that might have also been a translation issue. The Lylat Wars comics, which were originally in German, had somewhat iffy dialogue when translated into English.
