I would like to do an oil painting of a Indian but do not have a good reference photo. I would like to ask your permission to use this photo as a reference photo. I perfectly understand and will not be offended if you say no. That's your right and your photo. Either way, it's a beautiful photo. Thanks for your time. -Ryan

I enjoyed this photo immensly! I am native american and I think you showed the utmost respect. I always ask if I may photograph people out of respect to them.
Good work!

Wow , you have an amazing gallery and the work at the Sanford Pow Wow is incredible Matthew !!!!!!!!!!!! It looks like there were more costumes at that event than the one I attended . Hope you continue to post more !!!!!!!! I so enjoyed the event I went to here !!!!!! It was my first real contact with Native American people and I found them to be wonderful !!!!!!!!!!! When I shot , I tried to do so showing no prejudice or to dishonor in any way !!!!!!! It was a very dignified event , a religious ceremony and I wanted to show that with great respect !!!!!!!!! I think you were able to do that far better than I did !!!!!!!!!!! Since I'm not Native American and don't know all the customs , I tried to be very careful as to how I'd shoot and portray . So far , I have had only one comment from a Native , and he felt I was respectful so that made me feel great !!!!!!!! I try to be that with everyone I shoot ... my African American friend who's photo is in my gallery , Japanese people at the festival here where I live or anyone else I may have the opportunity to shoot !!!!!!!!! That's what I enjoy about your photos , they show great respect for people and portrayed them in a very respectful way !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
