Description

Third in the AU is Jack, or Jackson Overland as he's known here. He's the wayward oldest of two, with a tamer little sister named Emma. He doesn't pay much attention in class-- instead he hides in the back of the class and plays pranks [his favorite is dropping ice cubes down people's shirts]-- but he works the skate rental stand at the local ice rink along with Kristoff, who drives the Zamboni, and the two of them also play hockey together on the local team, to which Jack loves and has become very attached to his hockey stick. Originally from Canada, Jack's dad taught him hockey when he was very young before they moved and he's loved it ever since. Because he worked at the rink, he'd often sneak time for him and Emma after hours to skate together, and they would play hopscotch every day between school and work. But when Emma was diagnosed with a fatal disease and eventually passed from it, Jack entered a state of angst and frustration and grew very unhappy with himself because he couldn't save her, so he bleached his originally brown hair and bought blue color contacts as an act of rebellion against himself, becoming sort of a loner at the time. At Emma's funeral, he met Violet, whose little brother Dash was good friends with Emma and they'd race each other at the playground during recess. Their relationship doesn't get too far, though, until after Jack became happier again and found his purpose when he unwillingly was appointed a member of a child service volunteer program called The Guardians which helps troubled and impoverished children improve and succeed in their attitudes in life, where Jack becomes very attached to a little boy named Jamie, the oldest son of a single mother whose income causes a tighter budget than desired. He also joins Kristoff in helping a troubled ice skater named Elsa when she accidentally uncovers a great secret she's been keeping hidden from her loved ones all her life and ends up retreating to the ice skating rink and living in the locker room for a while.
Jack usually wears a signature blue hoodie, brown skinny jeans, and blue Converse and his hair is always a mess, even when it was brown back when his sister was alive.
His best friends are Rapunzel, Hiccup, Merida, Deja, Kristoff, Elsa, and his Guardian buddies (Tooth, Nick, Aster, and Sandy).
