Description
I started this last night and was really debating posting it but decided "Eh, what the hell." I've been dabbling in this ROTBTD+ fanfic for a while now entitled Our Hearts are Young which outlines the struggles of characters like Violet Parr, Jack Frost, Merida, Rapunzel, etc. as they venture through high school (little cliche, I'm aware). I had originally wanted to finish and begin posting it at the beginning of this past September and continue on with it throughout the entire school year, having the chapters posted coincide with the month and things going on around and everything, but that never happened so I decided to just throw that logic out the window and work on it whenever. I've had the ideas for it in my head for a while, though, so it's nice getting everything down on paper (or, you know, a Word document). This is just a basic thing mapping out all the character's age progression throughout the story, though, from freshman to senior year.
Here's a quick synopsis of each character's role in the story:
-Violet Parr: moved to town the summer before her freshman year due to her father's job relocation, initially moody and cynical, aspiring writer.
-Henry "Hiccup" Haddock III: nicknamed "Hiccup" after an intense hiccuping fit back in elementary school, father is a mechanic at Haddock's Mechanics along with his partner Gobber as well as the leader of a biker gang named The Hairy Hooligans, very outcasted (especially amongst the second generation of Hairy Hooligans), ends up being a huge advocate for animal rights and completely revolutionizing the treatment of stray animals in town.
-Astrid Hofferson: competitive and ambitious, school athlete, Hiccup's crush and eventually girlfriend, works at Haddock's Mechanics on weekends, aspiring politician or business CEO.
-Claire "Rapunzel" Sonne/Grimm: born the mayor's daughter, was kidnapped as a baby and raised on the outskirts of town, homeschooled her entire life, never had a haircut and thus won the nickname "Rapunzel", lover of art, dreams of seeing the world, aspiring art teacher.
-Eugene Fitzherbert "Flynn Rider": orphaned, spent his entire life being tossed from foster home to foster home, eventually becomes a community menace alongside the Stabbington brothers under the alias "Flynn Rider", has a change of heart after being blackmailed into helping a young girl.
-Merida DunBroch: feisty and outspoken, school athlete, father is a butcher, mother is a prestigious college professor, plenty of arguments between her and her mom regarding Elinor's high standards, reconcile after a cross country trip to get her mother the medical attention she needs after being struck by a fatal illness.
-Jackson Overland "Jack Frost": moved to town a few years earlier from Canada, very protective over baby sister Emma, works the skate rental booth at the local ice skating rink "The Frozone", experiences a major crisis as a result of a freak accident caused by an act of peril out of depression over a lost loved one.
-Thea "Tooth" Badroulbadour: of Southeast Asian descent, mother is a pilot and part of the women's pilot team "Sisters of Flight", active member of The Guardian program, aspiring dentist.
-Elsa Arens: very promising ice skater, troubled past, antisocial, struggles with cutting, very protective over younger sister Anna, aspiring professional ice skater.
-Anna Arens: bubbly and approachable, loves chocolate, pretty aimless in what she wants to do with her life.
-Hans Westley: wealthy snobby kid, always gets his way, youngest of many brothers.
-Kristoff Bjorgman: works the zamboni at the Frozone ice skating rink, adopted, very loyal to his chocolate Lab Sven.
-Tadashi Hamada: friendly, loves science (specifically engineering), aspires to one day get a job in the medical field.
-Hazel "Honey Lemon" Rodriguez: quirky, loves fashion and science (specifically chemistry), aspires to become a chemist, has a fashion blog, loves tea.
-Ethel "Gogo" Tomago: loves anything that goes fast, school athlete, loves science (specifically engineering), chews gum religiously and loves punk rock music, works at Haddock's Mechanics on weekends.
