edit: okay, don't get angry that I didn't know Sora was actually created by Square Enix. Take a chill pill.sorry..but I think Disney's contribution to Kingdom Hearts was little 'over-kill.'
I mean, Organization XIII are awesome on their own no? Sora isn't ansty enough to be a teenager -_-

I like to think of Sora as a Square/Disney hybrid character.
If you haven't already, check out Kingdom Hearts 3D. Sora actually DOES learn something from Roxas. And he is NOT happy with Xemnas when he learns it!

I felt soooo sorry for the Organization when they died! I like fighting them cause they're actually a CHALLENGE, unlike the Heartless bosses, but I hated seeing them die afterwards <
And yeah, the Organization is probably Squeenix's best idea... Ever. XD

Sora, Axel and Demyx were all designed by Tetsuya Nomura, the character designer of Square Enix, in collab with Disney. Sora is no more Disney than the rest of Organization XIII.
Also: I'm a teenager. I'm not angsty. Does this make me any less of a teenager?

I think in moderation angst is fine, but usually (especially in fanfiction) it's overblown into Wangst, where nobody can free themselves from their tortured sould and are chained to the dark abyss of their past and all such happy things.
Also, the power of his heart manifests as a pretty bitchn' blade which beats the crap out of evil and gurantees he'll never have to take his housekeys.

Just a bit confused here... But his heart wasn't Sora's only weapon. :/ I mean, we can't forget that the only reason he was so kickass with his keyblade in the first place is because he sparred with Riku all the time, and let me tell ya, getting hit with a wooden sword is not fun. Besides, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the SoRiKai and Axel/Roxas dynamics were a helluva lot more Disney in nature.
Also, why do all the main characters in whatever have to be angst buckets? No one wants to listen to that repetitive bitching all the time. :/ I mean, look at Twilight, even without the ridiculousness, Bella and Cullen are just the most insufferable characters. It's why I liked Riku, because even though he fucked up royally, he still got over himself.
(And when did Disney become a bad thing?)

I see your point, and don't get the wrong idea, I do like the picture. But it's not like nothing bad has ever happened to Sora... I think Riku being turning against him, being possessed by Ansem, and subsequently disappearing for 2+ years was probably pretty traumatic. 
Actually, come to think of it, Sora had a lot of pretty bad things happen to him. It's just not as apparent because he doesn't sit and brood about it, and instead tries to do something about it. That's actually why I like Sora better than a lot of Square characters.
