Midway through this project, I decided that I was certifiably insane! My rule for this was not to draw a single line. The entire thing is cut out of construction paper.(Okay, I kinda broke that rule with the gradation of her eye, but I only had one shade of pink.)
I started out with just a blue piece of paper that looked somewhat like Rainbow Dash's shadow or something. Then I cut out different sections of light blue paper, red paper, etc and layered them over said blue base.
The hardest parts were her "Cutie Mark" and her eye. I'm not entirely happy with either of them, but they're about the size of a penny in real life. I can only cut things so small.
Anyway, finished it up and threw it on this cloud background I had laying around. Next time, I think I'll leave layering things to Photoshop. This was nerve racking!

well i got to say it must have takin alot of talent...and patience to be able to build something like this so perfectlyi know i couldnt do it, and im the best artist in my school. and you couldnt draw a single damn line?!?!?!? if it was me i would be :nothin to do here:

This is very well done. The thumb nail view doesn't even look like it's paper. Frankly, it looks like the official art style nearly exactly.

Oh my gooosh, I found out something awesome! Shannon Hale is writing a sequel of Princess Academy, still focused on Miri, and like...she's good with sequels, so it should be great and it's clear from what she's said about it that she's really serious about it. It should be so good!

I know! I must confess, my initial response was all "Hmmm I don't know about this" but...I could tell she wasn't doing it lightly, and the synopsis she's put forth for the book sounds good, so here's hoping it's great!
