As promised, here is the robot mode of my new Astrotrain, with the attached Diesel 10 Claw. In case you are wondering, it is using a part from an upgrade kit to make it extend past the head. It does not bend or swivel. I still need to work out how I can do that. Anyways, with Astrotrain transformed, I wanted to try him out with the new claw, something I actually did not think to do until recently. While he does have a solid form, I thought of how the claw could be attached. I was thinking either on the shoulder or over the arm, but decided it might not work that well due to how long it is (I also need to figure out a way to extend and retract the claw rod). However, when I thought about what I had, which included the 3D Piece that came with my upgrade kit for the Studio Series Optimus Prime back in 2019, the one that allowed for him to hold the arm blades as normal swords, it gave me the idea to have a sort of mode similar to Bonecrusher from the 2007 movie, with the claw over his back as well. I think it works well for Astrotrain. It might actually be considered the precursor to Bonecrusher's claw, just bigger and not as monstrous. I do quite like how it looks, and I hope you like the new photos for today too. What do you think? Please enjoy!
