For the new entry into the new art for The Owl House, and since today is the official day that the second special "For The Future" came out, I decided to do a piece from the special. Here is Luz Noceda as she appeared in the special, armed with her new Palisman Staff, her new Palisman being a Snake-Shifter called Stringbean. I absolutely love Stringbean. I thought her Palisman was gonna be a snake, but since Luz carved an egg for it to take shape of whatever it wanted to be, the Palisman therefore chose to be whatever it wanted. A really clever choice. Though I wish we had Luz with her own Palisman a little longer, I am content that we finally got to see her with it to show how far she has come. Plus, the color. It really suits her. The original pic of her with her new staff had it still as a glowing purple orb, but I wanted to do a design that would show her with the Palisman in full, so I replaced that staff with Stringbean, and I think she looks great. Though Flapjack can't ever be replaced, I am glad that we get a new Palisman for the Hexsquad, and am also glad that Flapjack still lives through Hunter. I now can't wait for when the final special comes out, and see what will happen, as well as everything finally come full circle. It may be ending, but at least we will see the show end on its own terms. For now, here is Luz with her new Palisman staff from "For The Future". I really had a great time making this piece, and I hope that you like how hard I worked on it too. What do you think? Please enjoy!
