Once upon a time. there were four strong individuals, each with a higher calling to be better, stronger and superior to everyone else. But with the world as it was, contaminated by evil and mystery dungeons popping up all over, they decided to team up and built the first Rescue Guild, with them as the first Rescue Team. Not that it mattered, their methods were overly destructive and chaotic, but the populace loved how they managed to save so many despite massive property damages. Soon enough, they were worshipped....and soon revered as legendaries or even Gods. And that triggered Arceus's meddling, placing a normal empty Gimmighoul chest in a Mystery Dungeon and filling it with cursed items. Unaware of what was to happen, the four looted the chest and transformed, their strength now beyond compare and beyond even their control as deep fissures, oceans of lava, deep sinkholes and blinding blizzards enveloped the land from their appearance. Outraged by the huge death tool, as Giratina had yet to step in to make death a non-issue, the Five Elder Guardians used artifacts made by Arceus to banish the four into a dimension as ghosts that could not see, speak or even touch and forged keys to seal them away.

However, if the Keys were to unite, they would be released as the greatest team ever to be assembled (though you would have to defeat them all to add them to your roster). They are also said to be as powerful as the 4 Sacred Beasts, though you can chose 4 moves for each of them if you choose to acquire them with Legendary Forms. Otherwise, each one has a bounty of $250,000 P.
