Tomba [Tomba! (ps1)] VS Scorpion [Mortal Kombat (PS1)(3rd Party)]

Tomba is a wild litttle Cave man with Pink Hair that makes me remember old bubble gum commercials. if you forget about his hair though, you remember how he does things. he's really Fast. he's really Strong. and if you think about it a little more, he is really brutal to those Evil Swine. at the beginning of his game, he is enjoying the spoils of his most recent hunt. he notics a disturbance on the other side of the cliff. some evil swine are ransacking a caravan. he attacks the gang of evil pigs. he's winning when out of nowhere he's knocked out. the last thing he remembers is an evil pig walking off with his grandfather's bracelet. he wakes up and realizes what happened and goes after the pigs. that is the plot for the first Tomba game. Tomba! was also one of the first PS1 titles to take advantage of the controllers Dualshock feature. he's been on multiple lists for playstation All-Stars most wanted Characters, including Geek Magazine's top 10.

as far as his fighting, Tomba has a mace, a hammer and even some sort of flying racoon suit. he has a signiture move in which he jumps onto his enemey and then somehow bounces back into the air with the opponent in his grip, and then he throws his enemy a good distance after a back flip. he is a very good character, and i can't see why he couldn't be an all-star.

a long time ago, before the age of Playstation, sega and nintedo were rivals. Mortal Kombat was released on the Sega Genesis and the Super Nintendo. nintendo's version replaced blood with swet, aside from other things. sega released it as it was designed, with blood, brutality, and the whole gory mess. it CHANGED THE GAME. this became more popular and put sega into the spotlight for a little while. not long after, there arose the issue of evolving games from Cartriges to discs. sega made a mistake. nintendo saw an oppertunity to get back in the spotlight, so they teamed up with Sony to create a new device to connect to the nintendo console so that it could play discs, use good graphics, and basically revolutionize gaming. all of a sudden, nintendo just backed out: "sorry, we dont need you afterall." Sony was like "you cant be serious. we made this awesome device foryou and your not gonna use it? well, screw you then, we're gonna make are own console and its gonna be EPIC." sony then furnished it to become there own gaming console that would literally CHANGE THE GAME. and the playstation was born.

Scorpion is one of the most Iconic characters of the Mortal Kombat franchise. everyone knows his Signiture mover with the throwing rope spear thing, "Get Over Here!" i think the story for him might have changed for different Mortal Kombat games. but the main thing is that he use to be a ninja for his clan in ancient Japan. his clan was destroyed by the Lin Que Clan. he specifically has a grudge against a Lin Que named Sub Zero, who is also a playable character in Mortal Kombat. he dies and then is ressurected with Nether Realm Powers to serve Shang Tsung. i think the most likely reason that he would join the Battle Royale would be he heard of an epic gathering of powerful Warriors and Champions, as well as a hidden power for the ultimate victor. he might also think that he would run into Sub-Zero.

Of course, Scorpion comes from a fighting game, he already has a move set ready. he also has his Neather Realm powers. and i believe one of his supers should be his fatality when he pulls off his mask to reveal his skull and then breath fire to kill people.

overall,the matchup is not so specific besides the fact that Tomba and scorpion are both uneven mixtures of Brutality and savagery. however Tomba is just a good guy, while Scorpion is more on the path of an Antihero. that is what i believe should make their rival scenes. it would be simple and yet, ultimately cool at the same time.
