Description Floating in a stream in Toronto's High Park.

Details of shot:

Shot in macro mode, which explains the blur around the edges. The camera was my Epson PhotoPC 3100Z. Colors were enhanced by making a tweak to curves in Photoshop. Time of day was late afternoon, but the light was filtered by overhead trees.

what interests me about this one is not the central leaf, but the bubbles surrounding it. they are such neat combinations and extremes of alternating blue and green. i like how they appear blurred in some places and twisted/distorted in others.

thats beautiful. its got everything (colorwise)- the blues and greens of water, and shades of orange and red on the leaf. im a bit confused as to why it is only lit on the bottom section of the leaf. i can only think that its the leafs from above covering the light everywhere else

The color is great, possibly more impressive because the tweaking you say you did to it does not make it look unnatural at all.

Absolutly beautiful! The green tinted bubbles make a nice contrast with the deep yellow and red/orange. Also the blue water kind of matches with the green which makes it match with the yellow and red. Did you know that red and blue are perfect colours to contrast each other? Anyways you did a great job and I like it.
