It just really pisses me off when people say things like "Oh, I hope Sans or any other undertale character will be in the new Smash Bros. for the Switch!"

In my opinion, undertale is fucking overrated, the fandom's cringy, and it's all over the damn place. And then, Nintendo decides to put the game on the Switch?
That was a mistake. A VERY. BIG. MISTAKE. And by the way, if any indie game character deserves to join Smash Bros, It would be either Shantae or Shovel Knight. (Most likely Shovel Knight, because he has his own amiibo.)
And at least Shovel Knight seems like an interesting game to play. I don't want any dumb characters joining Smash, because I just feel like if that happens, then Smash for me will be forever ruined.
You can go ahead and throw hate at me and post hate comments about how i'm wrong if you want, but I won't care.
I'm against having undertale or any other dumb characters ruining Smash.

seriously, I think having undertale in smash would be the biggest disaster. the kids would just ignore the disadvantages and just play as sans all day long. I will tell you one thing: Sans sucks. I don't find him funny at all. he isn't the first skeleton character to make skeleton jokes. and don't get me started on his boss fight and the soundtrack.
if I HAD to choose a indie, I'd choose Shantae.
one, Shantae first debuted on gameboy color and that was before she became indie.
two, her three games first debuted on nintendo consoles.
and three, her games are fun.
I tried shovel knight, but... my opinion, I just can't find the game good.
my god, can you imagine if cuphead gets ported to nintendo switch? one trailer of cuphead on switch and BAM! you will get cupheadforsmash hashtags and requests all over!

Agreed. It's an okay RPG, but it's not Smash-worthy. I found more enjoyment in other RPGs.
Gameplay? I'll boot up Touhou or the Mother Series.
Story? Dragon Quest.
Soundtrack? Final Fantasy.
The fact that I can spare my enemies? Shin Megami Tensei and Persona called. They want their gimmick back.
Enjoyability? PokΓ©mon.
The fact that what I do alters my ending? Fuck it. I'll just invite some friends over and we'll play some fucking Dungeons and Dragons.
Overall, Undertale doesn't have anything going for it to be in Smash. Hell, the series that practically inspired its gameplay (Mother) is already a veteran representative, so what's the point? Keep any Undertale character as FAR away from my beloved Smash Bros as possible.
As for indies, Shantae and Shovel Knight sound VERY promising. I'd wish for Snake back, but FucKonami.
