So, I looked up custom Mario sprites and I found this awesome custom Mario sprite set made by RatherNoiceSprites which I believe is based off of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show, portraying Captain Lou Albano. I am currently working on editing those sprites to appear more in line with Mario’s in-game appearance, but before that, I managed to make this WIP tileset sheet for the overworld, with a few extra 16x8 sprites for the ground, and the blocks to give the appearance of a 2.5D view. I think it’ll add to the experience and give the potential game a fresh look.

Mario spritesheet will be coming shortly, credit due to RatherNoiceSprites on The Spriters Resource. This tile set is 95% custom by me, however, with only the palette taken from Rather Noice Sprites.
