just saiyan, it only lost its shell. if anything, its less mega.

The appearance doesn't determine its status. The point is that it loses its shell to gain speed.
It has also transformed into a more Scorpion-like form, hence the tail. The claws are also now clamp claws.

Do remember that these aren't exactly X/Y/OR/AS, they're for a "new" metagame (It's not an official or real one), known as Austral Version and Boreal Version (Based on North and South)
