Hate to say it, but it’s a Mediocre episode for a Christmas special

Pros-
* Mario gets growth

* SMG1&2 and Kaizo actually get something to do, which I’ve waited a while for

* Meggy & Melony’s friendship is touched on again

* The plot points were fun

* The ending was wholesome

Cons-
* Retcons Mario giving Melony a Axolotl

* The actual title is “All I want for Christmas is Mario To FREAKIN BEHAVE”, which got me mad worried, should’ve just called it 2022 Christmas special

* Could’ve been more wholesome for a Christmas special

* I’ve reached my limit with Mario’s friends giving the guy shit for everything. I get it, he’s dumb and makes very dumb choices, but here it felt completely unwarranted. Mario wasn’t even the direct cause of Axol jr getting burned and everyone just ganged up on him for it. I don’t know why they keep doing this, but give my man Mario a BREAK please, for the love of god

* Kinda boring

That’s basically it. Kinda disappointing my Christmas kiss prediction didn’t come true but, honestly, I could’ve taken it or leaved it anyways. My favorite SMG4 Christmas special by far is 2019’s, and I enjoyed 2020’s and 2021’s a good deal. This was just a bore and needed better writing. After the 28th they won’t be releasing another vid until 2023 January 21st, let’s see what next year is like
