Description Traveling a journey on the road of mortality
are all of us mortals
and in our hands is a map of the world
but it is old and faded and yellowed and withered
leaving us with nothing
but a mere outline of our desired destination
And the intricately woven streets in between.

At first you are mesmerized by the beauty of it all.
But beauty starts to fade,
like a shooting star,
like a dream,
disappearing, giving us merely a glimpse of its
sheer splendor
before dissolving into nearly nothingness.

traveling, traveling, traveling,
cherishing, cherishing, cherishing,
until the very end.

But long after the body has deceased,
decayed and lost and forgotten,
the spirit lingers in minds of those
the soul clenched by all the beloved
the body had left behind.
Long after thee has lain himself down to sleep,
long after falling at the end of the flight of stairs,
up, up, up the stairs to heaven
the lost mortals cling to the memories,
revelating all that was left behind.

Although thy mortal is forever gone,
the memory is immortal.
