Brandon Routh brought the Superman character back to life on the big screen. Some people didn't like the movie because Brandon Routh wasn't Christopher Reeves. There was only one Christopher Reeves, and he isn't alive anymore. Brandon gave a performance in Superman Returns that is only shadowed by Christopher Reeves. After the release of The Man of Steel people will want a return to the Superman Returns story, and the costume worn traditionally by Superman.
This picture should remind everyone that we did have someone who can play Superman.

The changes to the Superman suit will be blamed on the man in the suit, but all he has done is to play a part in a movie. Why do they want to change the image of Superheroes. The new 52 has taken away all the familar images on comic books. It would have been better if they went both ways. Do some comics in the new 52 style and leave some as they were. Then the people who buy comics could decide which they like the best.

Well in my honest opinion I like the new 52 Comics and the new looks. They are just breathing new life into these classic characters I don't think it's taken away from what we know and grew up with. They did almost everything with these characters so what new thing can we do.

The problem I see with the new 52 Comics is the same problem Coca-Cola had in 1985. They brought in new Coke, got rid of the old and made a mess of what they were doing. Why? because consumers said they liked the sweeter taste of Pepsi. Would have been better to introduce the new 52 Comics along side the old comics. Then see which ones sell. The image of Superman is over 75 years old and changing it will upset some people, probably many that don't read the comics but will become upset when the movie comes out.

I see what your saying but I see it like this doing the same character like they did with superman people will get tired of the same old thing every single time. Same look and same story it will get boring and people will not go and buy the comic books. As great as the classic are everything needs new life breath into it and that's where the new 52 comes in. Me I like the new looks and I like the new story behind it.

That is why I would have left the original comics still be produced and created the new 52s as a separate group of comics. Superman is a classic character, much like Coca-Cola. In 1985 Coca-Cola in the United States listened to what the public was saying, which was that Pepsi had a sweeter and better taste. So Coca-Cola changed the formula of Coke and replaced the New Coke where Coke was sold. It was seen as one of the great marketing disasters ever. They had taken away something that was one of life's staples. When the general public see the new Superman don't be surprised if they reject him. In the last film there was a big argument over the costume because of all the S logos. What will it be like this time?

Either the new 52 or Classic superman will always be a classic character. In the last film the story wasn't there and I had no problem with that suit. With the new film they tried to go with the new 52 look it's okay with me. I haven't seen the new movie but it looks good. Bottom line people have there own opinions.

Normally, I'm not a huge fan of Brandon Routh, but in this case, you really made him TRULY Superman worthy!

Do you know what amazed me about that new costume? I thought it just had a diamond pattern in the lycra but it's actuall 1000's of little superman S logo's! I thought it was really cool but you only ever see it on the DVD extras. It would have been cool to see it on this too... Very nice work my friend.
Brandon Routh is a fantastic Superman and I hope he's in more films.

Yes! I see it, and it would be better then the diamonds, but I will prefer more without texture, I have a very personal image of how I would like the suit looks, and the reason for every detail, but never is going to happen

I too have my views on the super suit... but after all I don't like about this new version they have done really well to give new life and keep the original look.

This is what I would like to see in a Superman movie with Brandon Routh, mostly the fans thosen like the idea of a rubber suit, but I think Superman would look incredibly powerful on it!

I'm not keen on ruber suits on most characters but it might not be too bad on Superman I think Neoprene would be cool when I design my own character's I think of Neoprene lycra and Rubber.
Batman and Catwoman should always be in rubber!

Neoprene is the meterial that wet suits are made of. It's basicly fabric covered rubber.

Bueno, es que gΓ³tica significa para mi una actitud bastante depressive, y realmente no me identifico mucho ya que no suelo vestir trajes negros y lucir como algo fantasmal, pero tengo que admitir que me atrae lo oscuro pero en una medida dosificada
