The composition of this photo is again very nicely done, with the light-to-dark gradient of the photo's background matching the light-to-dark gradient of the bird's breast feathers. The same grey and chestnut colors of the bird continue on into its perch, while the stripes of the perch coordinate beautifully with the stripes in the feet. And I like how the perch starts and ends in the corners of the photo.
The middle toe of each foot is certainly long. I'll bet it would be very difficult for the wind to blow the lark off its perch

I was also fascinated by its feet.
That was a lovely species, very lively and quite "noisy".
