Charming capture, and a great anecdote about the runaway donkey

I think the round body of the donkey, plus the round sacks lying on his round body, added to the round drape of the red cape on the smaller child create a nice contrast with the straight vertical and horizontal stripes of the trees, shadows, and telephone pole. And I'm a particularly enthusiastic fan of cute donkeys, which helps, too.

When I was in primary school, my family used to go the countryside, my father's vilage, where my main enthusiasm was to ride a donkey. You know, they have superb memory and never forget the route of usual itineraries.
In one of these days, I and my cousin got on of their donkeys, headed for a free ride -without being consicious that we gave an unintentional signal to the poor donkey that we were going towards one of my family's fields. We wanted to return after a few minutes but every time we wanted to make a detour, he refused and went on. More did we beat the donkey, more frustrated he got and started to run.
In the end, we started to yell for help from the passing-by men, and one of them solved the problem: He stopped the running donkey and returned his head towards our house.
The donkey got the message rightly this time and calmly brought us home.
