I now know that they are based off of the virtual hedgehog clones from Sonic Colors, but when I saw them the first time, I totally thought they were Mini-Shards too! Β Like, each one representing a different part of his personality or something. I was SO stoked! XDDΒ

I was thinking in the reboot, he'd was an ordinary hedgehog until Metal Sonic exploded on him. Then he had to be rebuilt as a cyborg. He may also be Chuck's biological son.
