His ambition was to make human beings obey the Nature Selection once more.. i just love his idea...
Humans have no longer ruled by the Nature Selection, because of that, even the worse people could carry on their genes to the next generation... this is why we see humans are getting worse.. wars, criminals, politics... humans are degenerating without nature selection..
But he was about to change it all.. by making humans obey Nature selection once again.. and that will force human race to evolve into a better creature..
Too bad.. his right to be God was taken away..

I love the premise and I admit that it does sound intriguing. But the idea that there will be less war or tyranny as a result of a more excellence based procreative model is flawed. The more capable and dominant people in human societies tend to be more inclined toward war-making that the regressive, passive less dominant kind.
Ultimately, time will weed out the less viable lifeforms and it seems that the roaches will outlast us in the long (or short) run.
