I was walkin through the Toledo Zoo with the love of my life, when I spotted this rose with an awesome color to it. being that it was early november and not to many flowers left I took a pic. just to see how it would look. here's the resultRelated content

On the evening of the day you submitted this, a hotel burned down, the flames at one point taking it to a category 3. Many of the guests of the hotel were Hurricane Katrina evacuees, and many lost whatever it was they saved from their flooded houses to the flames. Fortunately, everyone made it out ok. It happened down the street from where I live, in Katy, TX. Googling certain key words to find out whether or not they ever discovered the cause of it led me to your site.

The background is beautiful and really brings out the red and orange of the rose. I love how it's starting to wilt a little.. It looks like it's starting to burn itself! Wonderful first submission if I ever saw one.

great! so true that sometimes the simplest things are the most beautiful, you really capture the esence of that flower specially since its so symbolic in our culture of many other beautiful things
