This is...positively brilliant! I stumbled across you from :iconvaxone: 's gallery - you guys make an awesome team! Personally, I don't think the tattoos etc detract at all...to me, at least, they add an interesting, subtle detail to the image at large.
Also, if you really wanted to try to match the anime's art, you could mold a chin/jaw prosthetic. The goal would be to make the chin protrude, and to make the teeth flush with the face, instead of protruding. It could be done in two pieces to still allow full mobility.Β I don't think it's strictly necessary for the costume, because it's beyond awesome as it is, but that's the only suggestion I can think of! ^_^;
